Everything is free however it is also a soft entry to spending money. Remember that free has no value and many will view it as worthless because it does not come with a promise.

Is there always a catch to the word free?

Well, not always but it is most often the case.
For example, there is a free Food market at my local beach tonight. Anyone can go and walk around taking in all the sites and wonderful aromas coming from the Food vans. However, the food and drinks are going to cost you money.
Because you are there it is almost certain that you will hit your pocket to get something and make the free visit a better experience.

When the word is used as clickbait

This happens a lot on the internet and it is not always bad. What you are reading is indeed free but it will come with a lot of opportunities to spend money, this is not an attempt to mislead you it is simply providing enough information for you to make an informed decision.
Yes the word has attracted you, and you may only want what is given away but at least you will fully understand what is available for a little extra, the decision is yours so there is no deception.

Free has no value

It is fact, that what comes easy comes without value. Free is like that, it may have your attention for a short time but it is soon replaced by something bought and paid for.
free is sometimes paid by others so your value is reduced but their value to you is increased.
I went for Coffee this morning and it was paid for by another at our table. Thank you, I said, but it now comes with an obligation.
I know that sometime in the future I shall be honour bound to return the favour. I don’t have to, and I probably don’t need to except for my own sense of fair play.

We are not a society of takers. With something gained for nothing we all understand that it may come with an obligation of some kind.
Therefore when you see the word free know that there is an underlying clause that clearly states, this is going to cost you, but the cost will be justified by the benefit.
